 The Building Department serves residents, developers, and business owners within the Village by:
- Answering general questions relating to construction, inspections, permits, and other related topics
- Providing plan review services
- Issuing building permits
- Providing field inspections for construction projects with active permits

The Building Department also works with certified building inspectors to: - Ensure that all residential and commercial construction in the Village meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of adopted codes
- Check for compliance with State mandates, such as:
- Building practice
- Manufacturer equipment
- Specific design
