2011 Posen FireFighter II Academy The 2011 Class of the Posen Fire Department Firefighter 2 Academy graduated on October 19th, 2011. Please watch for our 2012 Academy Announcement

2012 Firefighter 2 Academy The Posen Fire Department will be hosting a certified Firefighter II class starting in June running through the end of October. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 1800 hrs (6 pm) to 2200 hrs (10 pm) and on MOST Saturdays from 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs. ALL candidates MUST receive a current Medical Exam and Respiratory Exam along with an OSHA approved FIT Test. For more information regarding this Academy, please e-mail

Registration will begin May 1st and applications are due back before May 30th at 5:00 pm. Applications can be obtained at the Posen Fire Department located at 2440 Walter Zimny Dr. Posen, IL 60469.
