Passing of Trustee Richard Klapkowski

It is with profound sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Village Trustee Richard John Klapkowski. Trustee Klapkowski passed unexpectedly on August 30th, 2023. Rich was appointed as a Trustee in September of 2005 and was elected to the position in April of 2006. Rich was then re-elected 4 times for 4 year terms. Trustee Klapkowski most recently served as the Committee Chairperson over the Police Department. Rich was also a retired Sergeant with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department. He is survived by his mother Joyce. Rich was just 65 years old. He will be missed dearly by our Village and will be remembered as a dedicated village official.

Visitation for Trustee Klapkowski will be on Friday, Sept. 15th, 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Ave., Posen.
