Annual Joint Review Board Meetings – FY ending April 30, 2022 Village of Posen TIF No. 1 and TIF No. 2 On October 10, 2022 at 2pm
The Village of Posen is required to hold an annual Joint Review Board Meeting including representatives of the following taxing districts and a public member.
- Village of Posen
- Cook County
- Thornton Township
- Bremen Township
- South Suburban Community College District No. 510
- School District No. 147
- Posen Public Library District
- Posen Park District
- Thornton Township High School District No. 205
- High School District No. 143.5
- Public Member, Tom Smith
The meetings have been scheduled for Monday October 10, 2022 2:00 p.m. for TIF 1 and immediately following, TIF 2, at the Village Hall located at 2440 Walter Zimny Drive, Posen, Illinois.

Each year, the Village publishes a Water Quality Report and notifies all Posen water customers that it is available for review.

During 2021, the Village of Posen met all water quality standards established by the United States government and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
New Village Trustee Appointed
On Tuesday April 12th, 2022 Village President Frank Podbielniak requested approval from the Village Board of Trustees to appoint Elsa Velazquez to fill the vacant Trustee position after the resignation of Trustee Araceli Costello on March 22nd, 2022. Elsa is a longtime resident of Posen and has previously served on the Posen-Robbins School District Board. Welcome Elsa to the Village Board. Elsa will oversee the Fire Department as a Trustee.
Com Ed Assistance Program to host a Financial Assistance Event
At the event ComEd will assist customers with:
- LiHEAP enrollment (based on eligibility)
- Payment arrangements
- Due date extensions
- Evaluation of late fees and deposits
- Renewable energy credits (based on eligibility)
They will also have marketing on hand to discuss energy efficiency and community solar programs which could assist customers with reducing their monthly bills going forward. For customers unable to attend in person, please direct them to the links below
