            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Posen, Cook County, Illinois will receive sealed bids for the purchase, under the successful bid, of the simple interest in the following real property:

Minimum bid in the amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) for the purchase of the

aforesaid interest in the above described property are hereby invited and will be received by the Village Clerk at the Village Hall located at 2440 W. Walter Zimny Drive, Posen, Illinois 60469 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm by October 7th, 2019. Said proposals shall be addressed to:

and shall bear the legend “PROPOSAL-SALE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2344 Walter Zimny Drive and the name and address of the bidder.

            All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Posen at 7:00 pm on October 8th, 2019.

            A contract may be awarded to the highest bidder whose bid is found to be in the best interest of the Village of Posen. The President and Board of the Village of Posen reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Payment is due at the time of acceptance. The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Posen further reserve the right to review and study any and all bids and to make a contract award within thirty (30) days after the bids have been opened and publicly read.

EMA Volunteers Needed

The Posen Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is seeking volunteers who are interested in serving the community. EMA members meet monthly and regularly train in things such as crowd control, traffic duties, and first aid.

EMA’s role during an emergency such as a tornado or natu- ral disaster is to work with the Police and Fire Departments directing traffic, providing security, and assisting with evacuations and other duties.

Members are viewed as a critical component of the Village Disaster Plan. Interested persons should be 17 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check.
